Behind the scenesEdit
In real life, there is no Lauriston Gardens in Brixton.
Allusions to Conan Doyle stories Edit
The location Lauriston Gardens is a reference to a similarly named location in the original Sherlock Holmes stories. In the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle story A Study in Scarlet, the cab driver Jefferson Hope killed a man in a house located at 3 Lauriston Gardens, just off the Brixton Road.
