Grimpen is a village in Dartmoor. It features buildings such as the hotel the Cross Keys and Henry Knight's house. It gives its name to the Great Grimpen minefield, a nearby testing site for the military base Baskerville.
The township of Grimpen has benefited from Henry Knight's tale of the Baskerville hound. For example, Gary and Billy of the Cross Keys bought a large, monstrous dog in an attempt to increase revenue. Similarly, Fletcher Robinson runs Monster Walks three times a day, telling people about the hound-related rumours.
