Lars Mikkelsen is the Danish actor who portrayed Charles Augustus Magnussen in series three of Sherlock.
Mikkelsen is also known for playing roles in House of Cards, Headhunter, Flame and Citron, Kira's Reason: A Love Story, and Ronal the Barbarian. He is the older brother of Mads Mikkelsen, who played the eponymous Hannibal in the NBC psychological thriller/horror series of the same name, and was the voice for Stephen Strange in the Dutch dubbed version of the 2016 Marvel film Doctor Strange.
